SDI-12 protocol is the communication protocol for transferring data between battery-powered data recorders and sensors. Sensors can measure one or more parameters, then transmit the data back to the data logger following the SDI-12 protocol. Both the sensor and the data logger must follow the protocol specifications. It means “Serial Data Interface at 1200 baud”. Finapp integrates the SDI-12 protocol within its data logger.
